Arrival: Meet & Mingle
Our guests arrive between 6:30 and 7:30pm, to enjoy a drink, nosh on
some food and to get a good table for the show.
The Show Begins
At 7:30 the host will welcome you to Salon Voltaire, introduce the
topics, the format and the speakers for the
evening. The first
speaker then
begins a
25-30 minute talk.
Immediately
afterward is a discussion/debate in which
audience
members can offer questions, comments,
objections or omissions. Don't be shy. Our shows are known for their lively
discussions and enthusiastic audience participation.
Intermission
We then take a 20 minute intermission so you can refill your glass, sample something from the menu
and continue the discussion.
The Show Continues
After the intermission the second speaker begins. As with the first speaker, there is a discussion/debate, in which
you are encouraged to jump right in.
After the Show
Once the second discussion is finished, many of our guests linger to have a drink, mingle with other audience members,
and continue the discussion.
This is a good chance to meet the speakers
one-on-one and ask any questions that were
missed.
